HIPAA Email Encryption

Humana Specialty Benefits, Kanawha Insurance Company, and Kanawha HealthCare Solutions have recently introduced a new email encryption solution. This was undertaken in compliance with federal HIPAA and GLB guidelines.

As a recipient of email from Humana Specialty Benefits, Kanawha Insurance Company or Kanawha HealthCare Solutions this means that depending on the content of the email, there may be additional steps required to view and respond to emails sent from kmgamerica.com email addresses. Emails that contain Protected Health Information (PHI) or Financial and Tax Information (FTI) must be encrypted and will require a few additional actions in order to view them. Emails that do not contain PHI or FTI will be received as before, without any additional steps being required on your part.
